During the rush to the Web, I developed a custom CGI/PERL based Web store application for Columbus Foods in order to allow their devoted customer base the ability to purchase their soap making products online. The site is called Soapers Choice and can still be found at SoapersChoice.com.
Amazingly enough, the original CGI/PERL based Web store is still up and running to this day. The server side Web store code was developed using CGI/PERL techniques; this was before PHP3 was popular. The code is still CGI/PERL and has a fully integrated Authorize.net Payment Gateway for credit card processing. The backend includes reporting and administrative functionality.
